This site is dedicated to the memory of Ray Mullins.

(This is from a younger cousin's perspective, Bridget O'Connell)  Ray Mullins was born on March 23, 1959, and passed on 5/3/09. Ray had many talents as a child and teen. He was raised by his Dad "Don" and Mom "Ardeth", along with two younger brothers, Craig and Gary.  Ray was a fun kid to be around. He excelled in baseball during his junior high and high school years At El Segundo High School.  Ray was a talented pitcher, and helped his team win many games.  Then he injured his elbow.  That was the end of baseball.  After High School, he entered the workforce.  Ray worked many jobs, in his 20's, like we all do, trying to find his way.  Ray was intelligent and charming, and was independent.  He moved to San Diego, and was married for a short time, but got divorced.  Ray continued to live and work in San Diego, keeping in contact, almost daily, with his retired Mom.  As the many years passed, Ray fell into darker times.  His family (especially his Mom) supported him emotionally and gave him encouragement during those troubled times.  What happened to Ray was a tragic, unnecessary event.  He died at the hands of the #sdsd San Diego Sheriff Department.  Ray, since he worked fulltime, decided to turn himself in for a weekend at the jail, to clear up some infractions.  Little did we know, we would never see him again!  Medical malpractice by the staff was to blame.  I will never forgive them for the incompetence and lack of caring the staff (including guards) displayed.  We will always remember Ray.  God, please take care of our cousin, brother, and son.  We love you Ray ♥
